COURSE STRUCTURE: 4 MODULES
COURSE LENGTH: 2.5 hrs/MODULE - 10 HOURS TOTAL

“Treatable traits (TTs)” is a precision medicine approach that facilitates multidimensional assessment of every patient with chronic respiratory disease (CRD), to determine the core traits associated with disease outcomes where targeted treatments may be applied.
A personalised management approach can then be applied according to the traits identified. Among these traits, chronic bronchitis and mucus hypersecretion are associated with COPD development and progression. Management of chronic bronchitis is of paramount importance to reduce the frequency of exacerbations and the risk of developing COPD, as well as improve the symptoms.
This e-learning activity will introduce the treatable traits approach in the management of CRD and share useful insight to be applied in clinical practice.
The four modules will take attendees from the definition of treatable traits and the clinical implications to a precision medicine approach to CRD and the key role of a multidisciplinary team, included GPs in a holistic management of patients. One of the modules will focus on key treatable traits in COPD, such as mucus hypersecretion and chronic bronchitis and the role of antioxidants to reduce the frequency of exacerbations.
Each module will be characterised by a set of slides on the topic and short videoclips of key experts from the Portraits event held in Barcelona on November 11-12, 2022.
